Ugly Ender 3 V2 Orbiter V1.5 Mount with BLTouch
Description
Original Ender3 V2 mounts for the Orbiter had clearance issues, so I mocked one up. This uses the stock hot end and fan setup, its probably not the best but has worked well for me. I merged in a mount for the BLTouch to make it all one piece. I have put two versions here, the standard version does not require supports, it has the support modeled it, but then needs to be broken off after the print (easy with snips). The no_supports.stl version will need supports generated by your slicing software. For the BL Touch bits, make sure it is at the appropriate height for your hot end nozzle, retracted it should be above the nozzle, extended it should be below. I added a washer or two to adjust the spacing just right. For the wiring of the motor, note that the wiring for the Ender 3 V2 (at least mine) is a bit odd, in that wires 1+4 and 3+6 are pairs (not 1+3 and 4+6 as common for 6 pin JST). Took me forever to figure this out. You will also need to lower the voltage going to the extruder to approximately 0.4V, the motor can handle the stock 1-1.25V, but it will get realllly hot and melt the orbiter plastic bits. I added an arm to hold the wiring out of the way, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2761965 works great. Finally, you will need to reverse the direction of your extruder in the firmware. I printed in ABS with 0.2mm layers, 20% infill, and have been using this for five months now with good success and no issues.
