Couch Power Control Switch Box
Description
*** If you use this design and it works well for you, please consider $1 Tip to the Designer. It's only a buck to help support the creations. Thanks in advance! *** My sister's power reclining couch had poorly designed touch controls buried between the seat of the sectionals. The couch ends have actual switches. All of the touch controls broke for each section, over time, but the ends are still fully functional. The manufacturer couldn't repair or replace the logic module, and couldn't think of any other way to make them work again. This switch enclosure houses two micro rocker switches (fairly standard size, SPDT), one for the head controls and one for the feet controls. I used an arduino 4-channel relay module to replace the OEM logic module, which is now controlled with the two switches. I ran a nice 5-conductor cable from the relay module to this switch enclosure, and voila! It is narrow enough to easily bury between the sections to keep out of sight, but accessible when needed.
