Dymo D1 Label Tape Cartridge Rack
Description
I have a variety of Dymo D1 label cartridges lying around. And when you stack them they fall over eventually. Regardless of how useful they are, they behave like clutter, so I wanted a more elegant solution to keep them organized than tossing them into a box. This also gives me quick access to make quick swaps. This design is a single piece with no "moving" parts, except that the right side has flexible fingers for retention. It's designed to hold the cartridges in the orientation shown in the pictures and you can tip the rack forward and the cartridges will stay in place. It's easy enough to pinch the sides of the front of the cartridge and pull them out, and when putting them back in place you'll feel and hear a slight click when they're locked in. Printing Specs: - 20% Infill is more than sufficient as the base is really the only place where there was any opportunity for it. 3 walls and 4 top and bottom covered the thickness of the shelves and walls at 0.2mm layer height. - I chose to print the model on its back to minimize the amount of supports. This gave me the opportunity to swap colors and add the gray accent to the front. I used Tree type supports. - The print took 20 hours for my machine. If someone were to remix this one, there's one feature I think would be useful, is some sort of wall mounting solution. Also some sort of companion holder for the label printer itself would be nice.
