Eight Prominent Buildings
Description
Here are four meshes of eight world-renowned buildings: Great Pyramid of Giza 481' / 147m (originally) Original creation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pyramid_of_Giza Eiffel Tower 984' / 300m https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22051 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiffel_Tower Empire State Building 1250' / 381m http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3239894 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_State_Building Willis Tower (Sears Tower until 2009) 1450' / 442m https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:715793 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willis_Tower 1 World Trade Center 1776' / 541m https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3576848 maybe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_World_Trade_Center CN Tower 1815' / 553m https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2939682 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CN_Tower Shanghai Tower 2073' / 632m http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2311499 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Tower Burj Khalifa 2717' / 828m https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1156328 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burj_Khalifa Each is processed to allow 3D printing with no supports, and with all spires thickened to allow correct slicing (when printed in mm). The 1:10000 scale model is designed to match all 8"x8" MiniCity 3D printed cities. The 1:7500 scale version all 12"x12" 3d printed cities, the 1:6250 version all 16"x16", and the 1:5000 scale version all 24"x24" 3D printed cities. See our 3D printed city artworks at https://minicity.art/shop We recommend printing two of these at a time, so that the very small layers in the top spire of the Burj Khalifa have time to solidify before being printed upon again. And if you're feeling daring, cut the bottom plate off this model before printing, and each building will be independent. Thank you to all building modellers who came before me! Please follow the links to the original models if you want better-resolution meshes. (We would have done a remix, but we're only allowed to tag one original model!) Enjoy!
