Fan support for Chimera or Cyclops
Description
Fan supports for double extruder Chimera. By design they should also be fine for the Cyclops version but I don't have one to test, you tell me if it's fine or not. It has been designed to print without supports by placing the central part on the plane on the back face and the two sides on the front face. However, I noticed there may be difficulties before closing the fan holes in the central part at the point shown in the image of the slicer which is recognized in green, I managed the same despite using petg and not pla by cooling the surface in the offending layers, lowering by 10 ° the temperature of the nozzle and slowing down by 15%, and then returning to normal as soon as the critical point is passed, you decide on the basis of your machine and your knowledge. The design has been studied to easily remove the side fans and even if not yet realized use the same attachments for further objects such as a level sensor, rather than a pen or other possible objects. Keep in mind that if you use only one fan instead of both you will get a hole from which air will come out, if this is the case you would need to make a cap, if this is the hypothesis of many write it in the comments and I will make closed versions, I did not do it now because I did not need it, however the hypothesis has been examined. If you have constructive suggestions for improvements write them, they will be taken into consideration. I only put 3 screws to hold the side fans because I wanted to stay compact and putting the fourth screw either unnecessarily weakened the plastic or it was necessary to increase the thickness, this would have resulted in an increase in weight and size. Using an infill of 20% I obtained a weight of 16gr for each side and 10 for the central so I think an acceptable weight, the heavy part will be the fans, to save weight you can only put 2 screws per fan. To make it you will need 14 M3x15 screws - 10 inserts - 3 fans 40x40x10 or 40x40x20 (which I do not recommend given the weight and the unnecessary) if you use fans where the head of the screw goes flush you may need shorter screws.
