Posable Android Robot Box With Screw-Top
Description
I really like lingen's posable Android robot, but I noticed that there's a lot of wasted space in the body - so I decided to replace the head ring with a screw-top mechanism so you can use it as a storage box. There are also a few other minor changes (e.g.: "thicker" eyes for easier printing because the ones on the original model are very thin and thus prone to warping, ...). Also, I've separated the legs because it's a) easier to print this way and b) I prefer using a high infill on them so the bottom is nice and heavy and the robot doesn't tip over. If you don't want to waste material on a 100% infill, though, you may want to print them at 0% infill and then fill them with sand or scrap metal (or whatever cheap, heavy material you've got laying around) after printing. I've also modelled a little lollipop for the robot to hold. If you do decide to print it, I suggest printing the stick at 100% infill and the lollipop itself at 0-5% infill so it doesn't become too top-heavy. Also also: you have to push in the arm and shoulder pins firmly until you hear a "click". If you don't push them in far enough, the arms will wobble and sag. EDIT: Added the Android Studio compass, remixed from milorion ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2469767 ). I just scaled it down and added a little peg to the top so the robot can hold it in its hands.
