Tiny Epic Pirates Insert

Tiny Epic Pirates Insert

Description

This is an insert designed to hold all the deluxe coins and expansions (Crimson Forts and Curse of Amdiak) in the base box, while also giving room to store the ships with assembled masts. All the pieces should be grouped in ways that make sense for set up and the bottom bins are designed to be pulled out and given to players so they have their own colored pieces. This insert was designed without sleeved cards in mind to try to reduce space as much as possible. In fact, everything was designed pretty tightly in terms of dimensions, so if your printer isn't tightly dialed in, or if you have a rough surface finish, you may want to sand some sides down so that bins fit in and slide smoothly. Either that or you just scale things down SLIGHTLY in the horizontal directions. Everything, except the Main piece, has a bit of play with the pieces they hold, so I imagine a tiny bit of scaling in the slicer would be enough to get bins to fit nicely if you don't want to sand things down. I haven't tried that though, so maker beware. I tried to make sure the pictures displayed what goes where, but for the two mini card slots it is as follows: Left one holds the Merchant NPC Ship Cards; Crimson Fort Crew Cards; and Curse of Amdiak Crew, Ship, and Captain Cards. Right one holds the Base Captain and Crew Cards. I'm pretty new at 3D modeling and 3D Printing and there's definitely some space that could be saved here and there, but I figured this was in a good enough spot to release it so that other people could make and tweak it as they see fit. Since I don't own a 3D Printer, I ended up using the Local Library's 3D Printer for this first adventure into 3d Printing. I used pretty default settings, 20% infill, supports where necessary (especially for that main piece). Any other tweaks you can do on your end will help it to print out exactly as you want it if you know your printer well enough.
