Description
OMC Evinrude Coil Locator Ring: This locates the coil heels with the correct gap to achieve the best spark, Simply locate ring on the "bosses" machined into the armature plate, pull coils towards to the ring and tighten the coils down firmly. This works on a 1970 6HP Fisherman Outboard Motor to locate the coils properly. It may work on other motors, too. Make sure your 3D printer is well-aligned in order to print this. Photos are from the PLA-printed tool in actual use, which worked well for me. Some shrinkage tolerance for PLA filament is built into this model so don't adjust it at print time unless you need to.
