Bosch GBA 18V Battery Connector/Adapter (e.g. TS100)
Description
<h3>About</h3> Bosch battery connector or adapter. With this adapter you can use your Bosch professional (blue series) 18V batteries (Typ: GBA18V) to power other devices, e.g. the popular TS-100 soldering iron). <h3>Instructions</h3> You need to print the 3 pieces and in addition you need 3x spade terminal connectors (size 1/4" / 6.3mm) plus cable. <ol><li>Insert your cable (1.5mm² should fit) through the holes of the "back" part. Check for polarity (plus/minus is marked on the battery pack). <li>Now crimp the spade terminals to your cable. <li>Afterwards insert the spade terminals into the front part, ensure they are pushed all to the "front" (providing a proper connectivity to the battery later). <li>Attach the "back" part to the "front" part, bend snappers carefully. <li>Slide on the part to the battery to check for proper connection. <li>When everythings fits install the "lid" to the other parts from above (snaps on). You can use some (super) glue if you want to make it permanent.</ol> Congratulations, you are done and should be ready to use the adapter. <i>None of the parts needs support. Print "lid" upside-down and "back" showing inside (bigger holes) upwards.</i> <h3><b>WARNING</b></h3> <b><i>BE CAREFUL! ONLY CONNECT TO THE BATTERY I F YOU UNDERSTAND THE HAZARDS!</b></i> There is no active protection, neither for overusage nor to prevent deep discharging. While a deep discharge (e.g. less than 3 volts per cell) can easily ruin your Li-ion battery the consumption of a too high current or trying to charge the battery with this adapter can be much more dangerous and in worst case lead to a explosion of the battery. Thereof never ever use this connector to charge the battery! And ensure your device powers off before you reach the low voltage point (of no return). Please only play with such things if you understand and know what you are doing. Thanks.
