SARS-CoV-2 spike protein 6VXX
Description
This is a cryo EM structure of the spike protein from SARS-CoV-2 (PDB 6VXX). I printed it on a Prusa i3 MK3s MMU2s (0.4 mm nozzle, 0.15 mm layer height) and it took almost a week. printing time: ~ 6 d support removal: ~ 2 days filament used: ~ 1kg (150 g marble for the pedestal, 3 x 280 g metallic for the protein) filament cost: ~ 25 € filaments: SUNLU Silk PLA Filament gold SUNLU Silk PLA Filament silver SUNLU Silk PLA Filament copper Janbex PLA marmor files: spike_strand1.stl = strand 1 spike_strand2.stl = strand 2 spike_strand3.stl = strand 3 socket.stl = pedestal spike_combined.stl = all strands + pedestal as one stl - not multi material compatible spike_combined.3mf = all strands + pedestal for multi material printing
