Garden turret pistol
Description
This was for a univertity project where we had to improve an existing consumer product. This nozzle is the result of that project. Took advantage of TPU to combine gasket with mechanical part. Printing: Every parts were printed with My Creality CR-6 SE (no mods) PETG part were printed at 235°C, 75°Bed. Gyroid Filling (15-30%) at 0.2mm layers height. Screw was printed at 0.1mm layer height. Base part was printed at 0.16mm layer height because of the many threads included TPU parts were printed at 215°C, 30mm/s, retract disabled and bed temperature off. These settings worked with my unmodified bowden extruder TPU I used was Sainsmart (Shore A 95) Ironing was selected for the jet selector to provide a smooth surface for the gasket to glide on. This is still a work in progress as I did not find an alternative to the spring yet. I am working on the jet selector to add different types of jets. I haven't tested the gasket between the main body and the jet selector, but I was able to print the main body without it leaking! Will update once this is done I JUST LEARNED GARDEN HOSE FITTING OUTSIDE CANADA/USA IS DIFFERENT I will update with a full BSP/BSPT (British standard pipe) version for the main body!
