Hadrian's Wall

Hadrian's Wall

Description

Short section of Hadrian's wall. (1/200 scale) The wall was completed east to west to a broad plan (3m), but at turret (26B) they switched to a narrow wall (2.3m) leaving the foundations of a broad wall at ground level. The options here allow for a broad or narrow wall. Was the wall castellated or did it just have a parapet? The only contemporary illustration, the Rudge cup, suggests that only towers had crenelations. Again there are options with and without merlons.
