Protocol Luggage Wheel
Description
A rock jammed up the wheel on a borrowed Protocol suitcase at midnight in a dark airport parking lot. The wheel didn't appreciate this but on a sidenote, if you need to sand a flat spot onto a rubber wheel on a suitcase, a parking lot works very well. Since the wheels are on a non-removable axle, I opted to print two halves of the wheel and screw them together. There's a gap between the two wheel halves so some adjustments could stand to be made, but this works fine for the time being. I used two M5 x 25mm machine head screws to secure the pieces. The screw holes are 5mm in diameter but the threads still had enough of a bite that I don't plan on attaching nuts or using thread lock. Printing: Print two copies of the STL. They're symmetrical. I oriented the print to sit with the half-faces on the buildplate (looks like a rainbow). Supports from the buildplate, 20% infill.
