Zigbee Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge
Description
I designed this tipping bucket rain gauge to use a zigbee door contact sensor from aqara as the sensor. In addition to the rain sensor the base plate can also accommodate an aqara temperature and humidity sensor. This rain gauge has a diameter of 150mm and a resolution of 0.25 l/m² rain. The files include two mounting options. One for 85mm walls (like on my balkony) and one generic stand for tables or any flat surface. You only need to print one of them. ### Additional Hardware Required - Aqara Door Contact Sensor - 5 mm x 5mm x 5 mm Magnet - 8 x M3 nuts - 8 x M3 x 15 mm screws ### Printing - No supports needed - Material PETG - Infill 30% - 2 Perimeters ### Post Printing You can coat the funnel with a layer of spray putty to make the water collection surface smoother. Two to three layers of putty with wet sanding between layers should be sufficient to smooth out all layer lines.
