(CR10/Ender 3) Microswiss Direct Drive Fang - BLTouch
Description
First of all, this is a remix/combination of the following two items on Thingiverse (it was being buggy AF and couldn't find either of the parts in the thing lookup section): 1. [CR-10/10S/Ender3 FANG for 5015 Fan - Smooth Design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3091560) 2. [Smooth FANG Mount for Ender 3 with BLTouch](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3157597) I wanted to combine the two sets of parts linked above for easier access and made some slight tweaks to the fang mount to work with the Microswiss Direct Drive kit. Props to the designers above as this setup is amazing. I included a shot of a temperature tower I printed with this setup and honestly... It's difficult to tell a major difference between the different temperatures (ranging from 180 - 225C). I made a few things better IMO (at least as best as I could working with STL's in CAD). The changes are summarized below: 1. **fang_shroud.stl** a. Updated mounting mechanism to be fixed position (two holes) to stop rotation (it was annoying) and general fang unevenness. b. Increased fan mount thickness for a more sturdy mount and a bigger base to print on. c. Updated the mounting point for the main fan mount to be fixed (two holes) to stop rotation and keep the fan level and stable. 2. **fan_mount.stl** a. Updated the mount to the fang shroud to be fixed (two holes) to match the interface described in 1c above. 3. **shroud_mount_bl_touch.stl** a. Changes to be mounted by pressure from tightening down the microswiss hotend. Saves some screws and is plenty sturdy. b. Changed the fang shroud mounting mechanism to accommodate 1a above. c. Changed the shroud mounting position to be in the **perfect** position (centered and pointed directly on the top of the nozzle). d. Updated the BLTouch mounting point to be closer to the bed. I'm not sure why/how it was so far away on the old one. My pin was not that long. No changes were made to the **octagon_fan_cover.stl**. It was just included for completeness. # BL Touch Offsets: * **X-Axis**: 46.3 mm * **Y-Axis**: 6.30 mm * **Z-Axis**: Still in Progress of Figuring this Out
