FLSUN QQS EFFECTOR 5015 BLOWER
Description
This is my version of a light weight, extremely functional effector for the FLSUN QQ series of printers. it is designed specifically for dual 5015 blowers and groove mount hot ends like the V6 style hotends, other may fit but not confirmed. This design prevents unwanted air flow from the hotend fan from coming into contact with the part and hotend, thus improving printer performance and being able to print ABS easier. I have included the following. Ball mount version Custom ball end radius rod and fixture air ducts for v6 and v6 vulcano Standard radius rod mount (smaller holes for the M3 screw) extended sliders designed for 45mm LG bearings Printed the parts, accuracy is very important for the effector to print well. For the effector I used CF PETG and its extremely stable dimensionally. The ball ends, PLA or PETG will work, I used PETG and have well over 500 hours of printing and no sign of wear. These are designed to snap on to the ball, so accuracy is very important, if the ball is to tight it will bind and cause problems, I took an extra ball and ground a slot in it, installed in a drill and ran in in the rod end, this actually give a clean finish and make is a perfect fit, there should be next to no resistance when moving the rod on the ball, but also no play, that's the end goal here. The Balls that are need are 10 MM chrome, M4 thread, use a 4MM all thread to secure, a 50 MM long full thread bolt can also be used. The arms are made for 1/4"/6 MM round rods, aluminum or CF will work, I used aluminum. I also have rod end for 8.5mm to use old fiberglass tent poles. I designed for 288mm center to center length, rod cut length is 255 MM. there is some wiggle room here. For the slides, these are for LM8LUU bearings, the longer bearings seems to improve rigidity. For the rod fixture, need 2 fixture halfs and 1 center brace, assemble with a couple M3 screws, install a ball on either end to mimic in its functioning state when gluing the rods together. Fan ducts, PLA works, but can deform, PETG or ABS is recommended. I will not be releasing STEP files at this time.
