Vanagon Westfalia Replacement Fridge Air Vent with 12v outlets

Vanagon Westfalia Replacement Fridge Air Vent with 12v outlets

Description

I designed this for my 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia camper van. It allows me to mount two 12v outlets where the stock fridge vent goes, but without modifying the stock hardware. I'm not using my fridge on battery power, so I hijacked the 15 amp circuit. It is already tied to a relay that turns off power to it when the ignition switch is off. 12v outlets should be placed at the bottom. With a slight modification, this should work with outlets on top or on bottom, but on my van, the 12v socket is slightly too close to the edge and hits the wood of the cabinet. Screw holes may not line up exactly due to minor variations in hole spacing or screw alignment. NOTE: I had a tough time installing the left side 12v socket because of the stock fridge flue. A short socket for USB was all I could fit. FILES: 1.1 - both holes on the bottom. Fridge flue might get in the way. 1.2 - revised layout with both outlets on the right side to get around the fridge flue.
