40/27mm Candy Rocket Grain Press (for 1 1/2" PP pipe case)
Description
This is candy rocket fuel grain press. Designed for 1 1\2" PP tube based motors. It's recommended to use PP pipe as press case, but 3d-printer version may work as well. External diameter is DE=40mm, internal is D=26.6mm. For press I use L=1.67D=45mm (optimal grain length) and optimal channel diameter d=D/3=8.7mm. I assume that we use 1mm thermal insulation. Additionally 5x20mm pressing pipe added at top of grain matrix. Pressing performed using 5x20mm washer. Use press only with good lube (oil, silicone lube, WD-40, etc.)!
