125 Bobbin Holder

125 Bobbin Holder

Description

So when I try to make things in Customizer, they never get made. This is why I decided to make my own bobbin holder. I made this bobbin case to hold five bobbin boxes with 25 bobbins each. The lid snaps on with round bump snaps, so it's easy to take off. I haven't test printed this yet, but I will, and if it needs fixing, I will fix it. You should print five of the bobbin boxes if you want to fill up the whole case, and each box should slide in and out freely. There are pull tabs on the lids so they're easy to grab out of a full case as well. This should fit okay on most printers, not so much the smaller ones. Container height is 167mm for context. I recommend printing the case back side down for the best results and minimal supports. You can print the door for the case with two colors if you like, changing the colors at the layer you want (look into your slicer's settings and look up tutorials on how to do this). The letters on the box lids probably should be printed separate as to avoid using supports, but I have included a file with the letters attached and a file without letters as well. The parts of the box and case all have .5mm clearance. Might want to be mindful of this while printing and use a layer height that easily divides into that number for faster printing, a trick I learned from Reddit. The size of the bobbins you put in here must fit in a 12mm height x 20mm diameter (NOT RADIUS) space (.5mm clearance subtracted). This is built to save space and be easily printable on an Ender 3 printer, so if you happen to have near or more than 125 bobbins, you can store them in a small space and transport them easily. They can be quite small and hard to keep track of, afterall, and if you sew a lot you'll probably want an easy place to keep them and find them in. This would also be a great gift for a friend who likes to sew, and even just one box for 25 bobbins would probably help someone out.
