I designed this piece to spread out the pressure on the wall in order to prevent the gate from indenting the drywall. I used some single sided foam tape to cushion this. If you want to use this with children in the house I would highly recommend drilling holes in these to mount them securely to your wall to prevent the gate from being pushed over. You would drill holes in the center and use drywall screws. Not much more to add here. If your baby gate has ends that are roughly 34mm in diameter then this should work for you. I can possibly make it wider if there is a need, this was a perfect fit for me.
