Pool Strainer Fitting Low Profile
Description
I wanted a lower profile strainer for my Intex Steel frame pool. Got tiered of hitting it all the time. The one i got with my filter and pump was 46mm "tall" on the inside of the pool. I also wanted a way to connect a vacuum easily. I designed this to be as low profile as i could get it, and still NOT be able to easily block it, the result is a two sided strainer, that even if blocked with an ass cheek or what ever on the top side, will still be able to suck water from the back side. This strainer only builds 21mm from the inside wall. Thread Pattern on the outside is: (Fusion360): ISO Metric, 80,0mm, M80x2 class 6g, Right Hand. Thread Pattern on the inside of the lid is the same as above but Press-Pulled 0,1mm to better fit when 3D printed. The inside pipe is partially threaded for the vacuum connection fitting: ISO Metric, 27,0mm, M27x3, Class 6g, Right Hand. So here are 3 parts, the strainer will most likely not fit the OEM parts o you need at least first 2 parts, Vacuum part is optional. PoolStrainerFitting_Top-LowProfile.stl - is the actual strainer, print it how ever fits your printer best, just make sure the top is nice without sharp edges as it might hurt to scrape it with bare skin otherwise. I printed mine at 0,1mm layer height. I would recomend extra top and bottom layers just to make it stronger. PoolStrainerFitting.stl - Is the part that goes through the pool. The outside diameter of this "pipe" is 27,9mm. Print this with the big flat side down on the build plate and you should not need any supports it the thread part is printed with 0,1 or 0,2mm layer height. I printed mine in 0,2 and 0,3 for the rest of the pipe. PoolStrainerFitting_Vac.stl - Is the part for fitting the Vacuum, it screws in to the middle after removing the top strainer and the other side fits a standard 32mm hose.
