6040 CNC Vac Hose side mount
Description
Designed for Chinese 6040 CNC machine, to hold a vacuum hose to the gantry. This is the side mount, you'll probably also want the top mount (see my other designs) to securely hold the hose in place. I didn't design a "dust shoe" as RexKFord already has one perfect for the 6040. Its thingy # 2542415. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2542415 It install the side bracket you'll need to put it on the gantry up near the x axes lead screw, Pic 4. Slide the bracket to the left so the right side is all the way on the gantry upright, Pic 5. Then with the bracket at an angle slide it down till it passes the thin plate on the back of the gantry, Pic 6. Slide it down straight until it rests on the two bolt heads, Pic 7. It fits snug so you may need to use a small rubber mallet to tap it down into place. The hose clip is also snug to keep the hose from sliding, so you may need to squeeze while sliding it in.
