LED Cover for Blueair 7400-series Air Purifier
Description
I found the blue LED strip to be extremely bright on the Blueair 7400-series Air Purifier (I didn't really need a night light), so I designed this clip-on cover to hide it. (Black electrical tape would work equally well, but this clip can be repositioned or removed without leaving any sticky residue) Compare my photos with & without this clip-on cover installed (in this case on a Blueair 7410i model). You can print two of them, or print it wider, if you wish to cover the white LEDs also. The cover can also be positioned to protect the capacitive buttons from being operated by cats or small children. Since this air purifier retains its settings across power cycles, the buttons are used infrequently anyway. (Note that one side has a raised lip, and that side is meant to be placed towards the front of the purifier.) Updated 8/16/21: Added version 2, which covers all LEDs and buttons in a single piece, for those serious about blocking every photon. Note that it is a tight fit so isn't as easy to clip on & off.
