DaVinci Pro E3D V6 cartridge mount with embedded nut inserts

I have been using Bruce Walker's drop in cartridge mount for years now. I have a DaVinci Pro 1.0 and I use the E3D V6 hot ends with his mount. The only draw back to this design as far as I can tell, is the use of sheet metal or wood screws in plastic. I discovered these tiny brass nut inserts on Ebay. They have 3mm threads and the exterior is 4mm's OD X 3mm's tall. So I remixed Bruce's cartridge to incorporate these nut inserts. The main housing will take 8 inserts, and the fan shroud will take 4. On the main housing, 4 inserts will insert from the outside and 4 will insert from the inside. The 4 inserts from the inside will secure the fan shroud. The 4 inserts that insert from the outside, 2 are for the pcb and 2 are for the clamp. The 4 inserts in the fan shroud will secure the fan to the shroud. I used 3mm socket head allen screws on everything. If you use a 4010 fan then the 4 screws are 20mm's long. If you use a 4020 fan like I did then those screws are 30mm's long. The 4 screws that secure the fan shroud to the housing are 8mm's long. The 2 screws that secure the pcb are 12mm's long. The 2 screws for the E3D V6 clamp are 20mm's long. I have discovered that leaving the 2 screws that secure the pcb just a little loose will let the filament pass through the sensor and find the hole in the top of the E3D V6. If I tighten them up then there seems to be a slight mis-alignment there. I can still get the filament to the hole, but it is definitely a harder push. It might be me. :) In some of my pictures you can see the inserts, the pcb terminal strips, my hot end led thing (thing:2332192), and a 4020 12v fan. I made little pigtails from the original board connectors to little pcb terminals. I soldered wires onto the little studs that would normally go through a pcb. I added an external 12vdc source for an old tiny video camera. I tee'ed off it and ran 12vdc to some LED strips. The camera is long gone but I kept the 12vdc for LED's and now for my hot end fan. I bought a set of 3mm screws on Ebay. Very handy to have. I searched for "M3 socket head set" and bought a couple sets. For the inserts search for "M3 brass nut insert". On Ebay or Amazon. Printed in ABS .2 layer 50% infill no supports. I added my own supports in the two side openings. Trim away post print.
