Sunlu FilaDryer S1 fan duct
Description
Fan duct for Sunlu FilaDryer S1 improving hot air circulation in the chamber, hold in place with magnets - no holes in cover. Print in PETG / ABS. PLA won't resist 55C and duct will deform. Hardware required: - Fan 4010 5V / 12V / 24V x1 - Neodymium magnets 6x2.5 x8 Fan can be wired to external power supply or internal 24V. I recommend running fan at max 50-75% of it's nominal voltage. It's enough to make air circulating inside chamber and reduce noise and vibrations. To achieve that for 24V fan use e.g. 12V external power supply or step-down converter (e.g MP1584) to decrease internal 24V to 12V. I used 5V fan running at 3.5V. Orient fan in duct to blow down, on the heating plate below. Use some pieces of thick cloth or thin foam inserted between duct and cover to reduce/eliminate fan vibrations transferred to the cover. I also recommend to insulate dryer by covering it with blanket or towel. This will allow reaching the set temperature and so make drying process more efficient. Run dryer as long as humidity drops and stays below 20% for 2-3h. It may mean that drying cycle can take even 12 or more hours depending on how 'wet' filament was.
