WL Toys 104001 Shock Mount Standoff
Description
This is the shock mount standoff nut for the WL Toys 104001. This is a very simple part. The part that comes with the buggy is a loose fitting design on the M3 bolt. This is not a great bolted joint for this type of setup and puts a lot of loading on the nut/bolt. This design matches the overall outer shape of the original, but is designed to be threaded; which should help to improve the overall joint. It is also slightly taller which should also help with shock alignment. You can thread this part onto the screw/bolt as it is designed to use the 7-nut driver. However, it will thread on much more easily if you tap it with a M3 tap first. I recommend replacing both on a given shock tower to get similar loading into the screws/bolts.
