Toyota Prius Carpet Clip
Description
This is a replacement clip for holding the front driver side carpet in position on my 2010 Toyota Prius. It will likely work on other Prius year models. Two clips are required for the driver side carpet. For some reason, this is the only carpet in the Prius that Toyota deemed necessary for carpet clips. There are other Toyota carpet clips on Thingiverse that look similar but are too chunky to work in the Prius. This one has a carpet hook that is slim enough to fit in the more petite Prius carpet holes. The main bar that hold the two carpet pegs is slim enough that it doesn't cause a noticeable bulge under the carpet. This design is functionally equivalent to to original but has cosmetic design differences that make it easy to 3D print. Since the majority of the clip is hidden under the carpet when installed, who cares? Any filament type would probably work but I used PETG filament because it's fairly resistant to warping in the high temperatures that cars can reach in the summer. I printed with draft quality resolution and 100% infill. Print in the orientation as uploaded. (On its side with the three small anti-slip pins on the bottom.) No rafts or support needed.
