ShakerBox - Low-Freq Amp case for 8 amps and power supply
Description
I added a number of transducers (bass shakers) to my motion sim-racing rig. To drive them, I bought eight low-frequency amplifier boards on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0PXEN4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), a power supply to drive them all (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VRK86SP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and thus I needed an enclosure to mount it all. This project is that enclosure. In order to complete the project, you will need to do some soldering (if you want to do it neatly :-) and you will need a few pieces (in addition to a bunch of PLA). (1) One pack of these 3.5mm stereo connectors (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GBN1NO6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You will use four of these, and each of them will have carry the signal for two amps. (2) One pack of these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JGLBHJH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You will use four of them, as each can connect two speakers/transducers You will also need cable (14AWG or 16AWG for the power side and 20/22AWG for the signal/speaker side), and soldering suppliers. The Enclosure has a number of parts: (a) FacePlate: this is the front and also the mount point for all eight amps. (b) Enclosure: you screw the power supply to the floor of this one, and the faceplate to it as well (c) Label: glue it to the faceplate. I am providing the STL files for all three above, as well as the rough modeling for the Amps and the Power Supply. In addition, I am providing the Fusion 360 .f3d file so you can do with it what you want. Good luck.
