Lion BJD

Lion BJD

Description

This is a Lion Ball Jointed Doll based on the wonderful Cheetah model by dmstlrc(see remix links below) and the Lion Statue remix by cipis. The proportions for this model were changed from the cheetah to more resemble a lion as well as make it easier to print in resin and to assemble. This model is much larger than the cheetah overall, see pictures for scale. Due to this the joints are not as snap-in tight as the original and may need a thin layer of hot glue in the joints before assembly if printing with PLA(wait for the hot glue to set before assembling). To assemble this you will need the following: 1. 8mm magnets for the head/face join. These can be glued in place by something like tacky glue. Just don't soak it in water after afterwards. You can probably use a smaller magnet if printing with PLA since it is not as heavy, but I always tend to use the biggest magnet that fits. 2. 2mm elastic cord to join all the pieces. See the diagram in the photos on how the doll is meant to be strung(head to tail, paw to paw on each set of legs front and back). I recommend using something like fishing line to get the cord through all the pieces. 3. S-hooks: these are not strictly needed but they will make your life easier for connecting the paws and head pieces. I used these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B071P79RPS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (14 x 6 mm/ 0.55 x 0.24 Inch Mini S Hooks). If you do not want to use hooks you could use fishing line to attach but make sure to tie them securely. 4. Faux fur fabric for the mane/tail pieces. I used a deconstructed puff ball but any faux fur should work. Cut out a rectangle big enough to sew into a tube to put around the pieces before assembling the doll. Recommend gluing the tail bit or sewing it on. The neck piece will stay on on its own. 5. Beads or balls for the eyes.
