MIB Galaxy On Orions Belt Prop (High Res W/ Swivel)
Description
This is my first Thingiverse submission. It's still a work in progress, but I wanted to learn Fusion360 and this was a good project to learn on. I wanted my version to have a swivel at the top that I could put a keyring or loop through. We'll see how well that worked out. I'm currently printing this, so again, I'll make modifications as needed. My only concern at the moment is the level of detail. I'm worried that it might make problems for some printers. Hopefully not. Also note, this has a swivel mechanism built in to the top piece with a T-bracket. Post printing, you'll need to snip those to release the swivel - at least that's the plan. Hopefully the tolerance between the top and the swivel is far enough to prevent them being fused during the print. Update 8/24: * Added a hollow version of the galaxy sphere to cut back on the amount of material needed to print. Additionally, this thing is NOT to scale (LOL) so you might need to scale it down if you're looking to make something for your cat... or not and just let your cat wear the full scale version like a boss. Update 8/25: * Updated the galaxy model to be slightly smaller because the tolerance between it and the enclosure was not allowing things to fit together properly * Updated the hollow galaxy model to make the wall thinner because even hollowed out that thing is a monster! * The tolerance between the spinner and the enclosure was to small causing the print to fuse them together. * Added a Hollowed out version of the combined model cause... damn. 9/6 * Updated all files with what I think are the final versions. There should be enough pieces/ variations to give versatility in what you want to do. Additional Notes: I had to replace my printer with an Anycubic Mono X printer (from an Elegoo). WAY happier with this printer. I've yet to have a build fail, even the ones that were giving the Elegoo fits. I'll be uploading print images shortly. Comments / suggestions welcome! Thanks for checking this out!
