3D Flexible Kiriform
Description
This weeks #FreePrintFriday is another design by the amazing Helen Little. She was inspired to create this Kiriform pattern that when assembled can flex from 2D into a 3D shape! The Kiriform dimensions are controlled via global variables that can be adjusted in Solidwork's Equations, Global Variables, and Dimensions window. These dimensions acting together affect how the Kiriform flexes when rotational movement in applied. Kiriforms consist of two mirrored parts placed on top of each other. Since this Kiriform design is completely flat, no mirroring of the STLs is necessary. Simply print two, flip one on top of the other, and attach at the center holes using any preferred fastening method that still allows rotation. This was printed with recycled pellets on our Gigabot X printer
