Coil former for Yamaha Waverunner WR500, CDI trigger
Description
This is a coil former to suit a Yamaha Waverunner WR500 magneto. It is for the firing coil, or, the timing trigger pulse. The magnet wire I tried that worked was 42AWG, but it's too thin. 42AWG is really thin wire, and extremely hard to connect. The aim is to have a coil with enough windings to fire an aftermarket SCR based CDI.0.2mm2 (26AWG?) Is too thick or needs more windings, so use something in between. Otherwise the trigger voltage will be 45v or more. This was printed with tree supports (everywhere) from the buildplate, to make sure the print was as stable as possible
