Unifi USG Rack Mount Adapter with Cooling
Description
This is meant to allow you to mount your Unifi Security Gateway next to a Unifi's 8 port PoE switch in a server rack and actively cool both components. It mounts between the left ear of the switch and the left side of the rack. The USG is meant to slide in from the front for a snug fit so air passes through it and not around it. You do need to remove the rubber feet from the USG for it to fit. The fan box is printed separately and then glued to the back of the main body. These are the problems that I aimed to solve with this design: - Issues with sag and flex in the front plates of similar designs. - Lack of support for and a way to secure the USG in similar designs. - Both my USG and Switch are passively cooled and are always hot to the touch.
