Jaycar Truggy GT4209 3x 18650 Li-Ion upgrade + new rear wing

Description

The batteries in the Jaycar Truggy were going flat too fast and took a long time to charge on the USB charger. Decided to upgrade from 9.6V nominal to 11.1V nominal by using 3x 18650's the width fits but they are too long. The kids had smashed the car one too many times an the rear wing was decimated, So I designed a new one. The car now runs faster and for up to 45 minutes, approx tripling the run time and new batteries can be installed on the spot bring as many batteries as you want. Required parts, a 10mm wide velcro strap to hold the battery cover on,approx 20cm 3x 18650 battery (https://www.jaycar.com.au/single-18650-battery-holder/p/PH9205) CAT.NO:PH9205 Assembly is straight foward. Cut the power connector of the old battery, Drill holes in the mount for the cables Install the 3 battery holders into the mount and solder the wires in series. Solder original battery connector on. feed velcro strap through holes to retain battery cover, (or just use electrical tape around the entire car) Print 2x of the battery spring, these need to be inserted behind the battery contacts to prevent the batteries from bending the terminals when crashed. Have fun.
