Sky turtle tent pole hooks

Sky turtle tent pole hooks

Description

I have a tent from [Boutique Camping](https://www.boutiquecamping.com/tents-c1/star-bell-tent-t237) which has a single main tent pole, 39mm diameter. It is a great tent, but it only has 1 hook for hanging stuff up on the pole, and this is quite high up - much too high for the rest of my family, so I designed this hook set to slide over the pole (will need to do this when pitching the tent before assembling the centre pole) in Tinkercad. It has a hand-tightened bolt to allow it to clamp onto the pole - but please be careful as if you over-tighten you may either crush the pole, or break the bracket. That said, I've tested this on my aluminium pole and it was fine - I deliberately made the bolt head smooth to help avoid this scenario! Note that this hook set is not intended to take heavy weights so please use your common sense - I am thinking camping towels or maybe some lightweight coats. If you put on too much weight, you may find your coats sliding down the pole! There is a hole in each hook arm - these are so you can add little split-rings if you want to clip things on more securely. I should confess, whilst I have tested this on a section of my tent pole, I have not yet had a chance to test it on an actual camping trip yet! Why the name? Because it looks a bit like a sky-diving turtle of course!
