Metal Gear Rex pen holder
Description
Turn your favourite pen into Little Metal Gear Rex's ultimate weapon! Little desk caddy customised from [israelcanto's cool low poly 'MGS-REX'](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9892) to hold a pen, pencil, paint brush, bluetooth receiver, USB stick or similar. This is my first upload, and it's kind of a hack job done in MS 3D Builder, but my mum says it's cool. If anyone feels the need to clean it up or improve on it in any way, they should feel free to do so! **CHANGES FROM THE ORIGINAL:** › Railgun replaced with tray for pen, pencil, etc. › Legs splayed and model posed for lower centre of gravity and dramatic effect › "Beams" added to connect posed model parts › Radome attached with reinforcing "beam" › Model simplified, with a few open spaces blocked in for easier printing **SUPPORTS:** Yes - Meshmixer supports recommended **ADHESION:** Up to you - I always use a raft on my Ender 3 Pro. **RESOLUTION:** Up to you - Finer res = prettier Rex! **INFILL:** 20%+ - The more infill, the heavier = Rex can (probably) hold heavier objects! **NOTES:** › Pens, etc. need to be centred around the middle of the tray to allow Little Rex to balance properly. › Objects weighing up to 30g can be supported at 20% infill. Higher infills and weights have not been tested.
