Realacc X210 CaddX Vista Mount and Antenna Guide

Description

Recently got the DJI HD FPV setup and upgraded my quad with the CaddX Polar Vista. Wanted a nice clean way to mount the Vista, and the stock frame is far from suited to it. I could have mounted the Vista to the top side of the top plate, but I didn't want to put it at risk like that. Originally I jerryrigged some M2 bolts and it worked but I wanted something cleaner. I also wanted some better mounting and protection for the antenna. There are two versions of each file. For the Vista mount, there is a version with a small channel to route your wires to the rear to plug into the FC (if applicable), and there is a bare version that's just there to hold the Vista and nothing else. Choose the appropriate version for your setup. There is a wire channel on each side, but only one can be used at once as you have to install it from the side (cannot be installed by sliding it from the back). Just break off the side that you won't be using. There's also two antenna mounts. One of them is just there to hold the antenna tube, and the other has a bit of a semi cover that helps protect the antenna a bit more. It's not a full cover but does add some amount of protection. For both of them you will have to make a small modification to your frame. Drill a hole in the back of the top plate right in the center, between the two holes on either side. Then cut the frame from the hole to the edge so there's a slot. See photo. Then, using the antenna mounts, which mount from the rear, you can hold the antenna right there, perfectly vertical. Do note that this is made for the newer version of the Vista with the newer antenna style. I am unsure if it will work with the older antenna design. You will need M2 hardware to install both. I'm not sure on the sizes I just grabbed some from my bin randomly. Print the antenna mount in TPU. Hard materials like PLA or ABS will just snap off the first time you hit the ground upside down. The Vista mount can be printed in just about anything.
