COVID-19 Coronavirus Desk Model / Pen Caddy
Description
This is a COVID-19/Coronavirus desktop model I designed that also doubles as a convenient pen/pencil holder. Each virus foot (technically known as a glycoprotein projection) is removable and is designed to print in place. Simply twist slightly and remove. The base foot is also removable and features an inner diameter hole for base mounting and display. Also included are two base variants: One that says "COVID-19" and one that says "COVID-19 SURVIVOR". I decided to include both as to avoid any potential sensitivity issues, as many of us have been personally affected by this horrible disease either directly or by way of loved ones who have contracted it. As someone who spent two weeks in the ICU after contracting COVID, I decided to include the "Survivor" base for people like myself. Please do not comment rudely below, your personal beliefs are your own and should remain such. Total print time currently in Cura is 5 days at 0.26mm. Feel free to resize as you see fit, just be aware that any scale changes will affect the ability to act as a penholder (as the current diameter of 0.9cm is comparable to most ballpoint pens on the market). Also included is a merged version for resin printing.
