Triangle spherical projection with battery compartment, switch, and led

Triangle spherical projection with battery compartment, switch, and led

Description

This design is based on Henry Segerman's fantastic examples of spherical projections. It was Henry's pictures that got me interested in 3D printing. Thanks Dr. Segerman! So I modified his idea and built a triangle of triangles as a test. I built a cover for this containing AA battery supports and a feed through for the LED so one can position this at the correct focus. At some point in the future, I hope to add a few other "bases" that can be used with the same top section. For the battery - use the following end pieces: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GN3PN46/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And for the switch I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PYW94WN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I needed to print this with supports - I played around quite a bit to reduce the supports on the upper triangles - as these get hard to remove (I chose supports from base only, and 30 degree angle from horizontal and that did the trick).
