Description

These are caps designed to hold 21700-sized Li-Ion cells to create a 4S battery. It's made from TPU for tightness in fitting and for shock absorbing, leaving air gaps between each cell to facilitate airflow for cooling. Included files consist of the closed cap and the front cap where the plug and balance leads come out, but also a "guide" cap to aid in the manufacture process as well as thin discs to serve as battery insulation, similar to fish paper. There are currently no instructions on how to build this battery - I was halfway through a tutorial when issues with spot welding and built-up frustration resulted in me just building the thing using the soldering method and forgoing any recording of the process beyond that point. I still plan to do a tutorial in the future, however, which I will link to here when it's finished. Small disclaimer, lithium batteries are dangerous if mishandled - if you have little to no experience with them, I recommend going elsewhere for battery caps and tutorials and whatnot. Varying levels of infill can be used according to your preference, but my caps were printed at 100% infill.
