Magnetic LED Worklight
Description
I needed a work light often when around my truck, but I wanted something versatile and didn't want to do anything permanent. Decided to buy some off road light bars and magnets off amazon to make my own work lights. I didn't buy enough magnets for two, so I put a 1/4 20 camera tripod nut in one and made a magnetic mount for the other. The bracket for that magnetic mount is the file for this make. The pictures are fairly self-explanatory, just print the thing on its side with supports, remove the supports, bolt on the light bar (I had to take the side panel off the light and put the nut inside the light instead of the bolt) and use the assorted holes I added to attach a battery. I also added some adhesive foam to the bottom to prevent scratching the truck paint. This isn't a perfect solution and there are definitely some changes I want to make, but it works for now. I suggest using this only as inspiration. Additionally, I wanted to be able to use these while driving, but I'm not sure if I would trust the strength of these magnets yet and wouldn't suggest using them for that.
