Lack Enclosure Leg Extension with STEP File for easy Length Modification
Description
Hi, I hope you like this! This is a Leg Extension for Lack Table Legs. These are made to fit in with the original Prusa Enclosure, so it has the same chamfers. I have included a 50mm, 75mm and 100mm version + I have included a STEP file that can be easily extended. So, you can either stack and screw together multiple ones of the existing extensions to get the height you want or you can modify the STEP file to get the exact length you want. If you use this to extend the enclosure, don't forget, of course, you will either have to get new acrylic panels or extend and print the panel extenders that come with the original Lack Enclosure Parts. Please let me know if this worked well for you. #ASSEMBLY: Each extension requires 2 - 5 x 20 mm wood screws + 1 more if you want to use a corner screw to tighten the extension onto the leg. Black Silicone - (OPTIONAL) I used some on the bottom of the extension for added strength and support INSTEAD of the corner screw. Place the "Side Tabs" with the screw holes to the inside of the enclosure, so they don't show on the outside. ##CORNER SCREW: I would suggest if you are going to use a corner screw, place the corner screw all the way into the extension before you screw the side screws onto the leg. Then, when you push the extension down to tighten the side screws, it just pushes the corner screw up a bit but leaves it in place to be easily screwed down into the leg without having to worry about trying to "drop" it in place later.. ##NOTES: I added these extensions to the top of the legs on the enclosure section. I then screwed the top of the Lack Enclosure Parts into the Leg Extensions. I have an Ender 3 going into this particular enclosure that has IDEX, so there is another extruder on the top of the Ender 3 Frame, This allows the Ender 3 to fit very well now! UPDATED: 9/27/2021 ---------------------------- I updated these files the day after first publishing this. I added a corner hole in which you can use a 5 x 20mm wood screw to hold the leg extension on better and not use Silicone Glue.
