Ender 3 Spool Roller
Description
A spool holder that I designed because I couldn't find one that adapts to and fits right on the stock Ender 3 spool holder without making major modifications to the machine or increasing footprint of the machine. Prints in 7h55m by my PrusaSlicer settings. However with using "Variable Layer Height" set to 50% quality/speed, the printing time comes to 3h20m. Modifying the stock spool holder requires the non-mounted end of the holder to be chopped off to make a tube with no end cap, this can be done using wire cutters or snips. DO NOT use a knife without proper safety precautions, as the stock plastic is difficult to cut. DO NOT remove any length of the stock holder as the full length is used for this Thing. The F3D file is also attached allowing you to customise this thing to your situation. My pre-sliced GCODE has also been attached for those looking for a quick print. Additional Print settings: Add supports for the thicker end (which faces down on the bed when printing). You can use the lowest resolution layer height to speed up the print time. 5% Infill even by Grid is sufficient, some infill is required for the firm press fits. HIGHLY recommended to calibrate your printers step motors, there are many many tutorials to do this and it only takes an hour if its your first time. Else the bearings will not fit. This Thing requires 2x (6906RS Bearing 30x47x9), which can be found here, https://www.amazon.com/6906RS-Bearing-30x47x9-Sealed-Bearings/dp/B002BBGEWO or https://www.amazon.de/-/en/sourcing-6906-2RS-Double-Sealed-Bearings/dp/B07V4F2WDH/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=30x47x9+lager&qid=1632949076&qsid=260-5969995-2777337&sr=8-12&sres=B00SG1R1CK%2CB08NC4FQV8%2CB07V6HLVG7%2CB08HQ8619G%2CB07JB7VHRB%2CB07J5V6XDQ%2CB07NYQX756%2CB07H5G5C65%2CB07V731RL4%2CB07V4F2WDH%2CB07H5FGWGT%2CB0799N429Q%2CB00SG1RTGS%2CB07TLJNXPC%2CB0714R28DS%2CB07H5FW628%2CB07H5G456P%2CB07BL5W7X7%2CB07HGXXX37%2CB00OV15W02&srpt=HARDWARE_BEARING. Details of ideal bearings are in the photo gallery. Inserting the bearings require a firm press fit by hand or edge of table. I hope you guys enjoy this.
