Subway car for Brio/Ikea Lillabo railway
Description
This is a simplified model of subway car produced in the Soviet Union and called "Nomernoy" (which means numeric). This car was most widely used till 2010 in the Russian metro and many other countries as well. The car was designed for use together with the Ikea Lillabo truck (603.200.94 or 703.627.95). Lillabo truck consists of two parts - wooden chassis and plastic middle plate for attaching different top parts. The middle plate doesn't need for car connection and can be detached from wooden chassis with some effort. There are two options for car connection - "car-m" comes with connection pins as a single model, "car-f" requires 2 additional "car-f-connectors" printed separately. "car-f" seems more reliable in terms of strength of connectors, however, it depends on filament type and sintering of layers. Magnet connectors for connecting trucks are a bit short for sharp turns and climbs, so a magnet connector extender is also included in the set. For attaching magnet connector extender, needs to detach the magnet and fixing nail from the wooden chassis first. It can be done with pliers and some effort. You can just grab it tight and pull it with rotating. Then everything can be assembled back with adding a connector extender. The car fits well whatever the connector extender is used or not. Using with Ikea Lillabo truck is recommended option but you can try to produce truck yourself. All necessary models and source files are also included. Happy subway building!
