Lighted Filament Box

Lighted Filament Box

Description

This design is a lighted dry box for the Voron 2.4. It mounts on the side of the unit and employs a corner piece for the routing of the filament tube. To build this you will need to print all of the pieces listed and in addition you will need: 2 - 50 50 SMD leds 1 -100 ohm resister 1 - 9 volt batter clip connector 1 - R13-24 momentary contact switch 1 - 9 volt battery 2 - 3mm pins for the lid and clip hinge pins (3/32 aluminum welding rod works great and is cheap) 1 - 4mm rod for the latch catch (I used a nail cut to length that worked well and is very cheap) 1- 5/8 rubber grommet 1- 8" x11" piece of clear plastic I used an old document sleeve that I had but any thin clear plastic will work. Food containers like the the kind stores package baked goods in will work 24 gauge wire, silicone adhesive to cement the plastic to the lid and the side window to the side of the can. The template provides the shape for the large window and the smaller side window measures 75mm x 55 mm. (Silicone can be cleaned off the clear plastic with alcohol.) Wiring is a bit of a hassle. I used a wire-tie to fish the wiring through the holes for the LEDs and out the bottom of the battery holder. Wire the LEDs and the resistor in series.
