FLSUN SR Dragon and E3d Sherpa Mount
Description
This is a housing for mounting an E3D V6 with a Sherpa mini extruder, 2 5015 blower fans, and 4020 mm heatsink cooling fan to the FLSUN SR printer delta plate. I printed at 100% infill for annealing purposes, but it can be printed at 20-30% infill if you want to save weight. I recommend at least 3 perimeter layers if printing with lower infill settings for strength on the weaker parts (wings). I tested clearance on the printer and you will lose about 10mm (x=+-120) near the y=0 axis due to the 5015 fan hitting the printer rod. I will try making a PrusaSlicer bed image file in the near future that highlights this area so it can be avoided when printing larger objects. This model is designed for brass inserts which can be found at the links below. I also recommend the brass insert install tool as it made installation a lot easier than with a standard solder tip. I used the 6mm inserts for everything except for the Sherpa mount which I used 10mm inserts on. I also used nut pockets for the E3d v6 lock to make sure It can be torqued down more, but I might change that in the future for brass inserts there also. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087NBYF65/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Z84NNGR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B17VQLD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'd like to thank Stephane for his inclusion of the FLSUN Xquad fan duct Fusion 360 file. It I was able to use this mount to help build fan ducts that are compatible with the lower profile of nozzle. You can find his fan ducts here. Maybe he'll make a nicer one that I was able to make for this housing. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4950102 Updates: Modified housing to work with Phaetus Dragon Hotend. I haven't printed this version yet so please give me some feedback. Note: I used the fan screw holes as mount points instead of the stock housing screw holes due to the stock ones not being in a great position for this housing. You will need to drill the threads out of the fan screw holes and use the brass inserts in the housing to mount this securely on the stock aluminum plate.
