Tesla Model 3 Frunk Support Reinforcement / Repair
Description
This part reinforces or repairs the Tesla Model 3 front trunk (Frunk) supports at the rear edge of the frunk which are prone to breaking when the cabin air intake grille is installed. The Tesla part being reinforced or repaired is 1131205-00-C. These simply slide inside the support and may be glued in place or screwed/bolted in place by back drilling through the two supplied holes and installing fasteners. By “back drilling” I mean to 1: insert the reinforcement part and 2: from the back or bottom insert a drill into the hole in the reinforcement to act as a guide then 3: drill through the Tesla part in two places. Then remove the reinforcement and use a larger drill to enlarge the holes in the Tesla part to be a slip fit for your chosen hardware. Now reassemble the Tesla part and the reinforcement and permanently install your hardware. The repaired part is now ready to reinstall in your car.
