SKADIS parametric mounting plate with optional mounting studs and holes

SKADIS parametric mounting plate with optional mounting studs and holes

Description

This is a universal customizable holding plate for attaching various things and devices to a flat surface on an IKEA SKÅDIS pegboard. The SCAD code lets you generate flat plates, to which you can then glue other objects. Or you can generate a pattern mounting studs to which you can then attach various devices. The geometry of the studs is customizable, depending on your device. Or you can generate a pattern of screw holes to attach something to the holder with screws, optionally with countersunk hex nuts. The number of SKÅDIS hooks is also customizable, either a single row at the top, or a rectangular or diagonal pattern of multiple hooks on the back, depending on how heavy the thing is that you want to attach to the board. Finally, the part arrangement itself is also customizable. You can leave the part in one piece and print it standing - but that is sometimes difficult with the necessary supports. Or you can split the plate into a top and bottom half, which are both flat for easy printing: the bottom half holds the SKÅDIS mounting hooks, and the top half holds the mounting pegs. I've uploaded a few example STLs: - a generic 45x45 flat plate, to which you can glue something - a 70x64 plate with two studs 40mm apart, designed for a MikroTik mAP compact wireless router and access point, - the same 70x64 plate, but now with the top and bottom separated so that it prints without support - just glue the two halves together using superglue, the contact area is so big that it will hold easily, - a 120x80 heavy duty plate with four mounting holes for M3 screws arranged in a 60x60 square, with countersunk slots for M3 hex nuts at the back. Part of the code comes from the [universal SKÅDIS collection](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2933140/) by [Guido Krömer (cacodaemon)](https://www.thingiverse.com/cacodaemon/), who was so kind to license his SCAD code under the MIT license.
