Description
Update: Now this thing has the remake of the pcb with cnc files and the printable holders for the VFD luminescent display IVL1-7/5 and alike made in the USSR for mounting on pcb. Russian: Индикатор ИВЛ1-7_5 (ИЛЦ4-5_7Л) See the data , the attached file taken from a russian website. Спасибо друзья. Wish I had printed the holders before finaly seating VFD and soldering the leads. Next time I will do it in the right order ;-) The guides help finding the right position a lot. See the picture, it has three types of guides/holders. My experimental remake of the contructors kit made in the USSR. The name "Start 7176". See the attached files. with newly made CNC files for making the pcb. Before printing the holder with the long bar check at least if it fits the number and position of the leads. Some VFD look similar but have diffferent size or at least double the number of pins. A.t.m. I'm too lazy to make another holder just for those. Update: New files: single holder parts the upright standing posts Those might be usefull esp. -adjusting, afixing before soldering on the leads -when you have not finished everything yet while messing with the circuitry -on other VFD sharing the the same glass tube layout. Print the big part laying flat. Support needed here. Screws 3-3,5mm x 12mm for plastic or wood recommended. Do not use machine screws whenever possible. Cut the threads into the plastic parts using the screws and undo them before finaly assembling the VFD.
