Tower project model
Description
A model I made for the midterms of Proyectos 3, in ETSAM, Madrid. Model of a urbanization project located in the Vicente Calderon's ancient spot. This project firstly began in groups, and this model is the seed for what my final project was. So many teachers reject 3D printing for making models or to understand how a project is going to be done, but this is nowadays changing. You can't say anymore that 'if you use 3D printing you are not experimenting with the material' or '3D printing is for lazy people, you should do models with analogical materials as always because if not you are not learning anything' because is false. 3D printing is a whole new world of opportunities, beautiful things, and community. This technology has come to stay and those who are afraid of it to make lives easier, are afraid of technology, in my opinion. It's a new opportunity to learn about how things are changing, and specially in architecture is a new brand tool that, in my opinion, we should all learn. Things are changing more than ever, and if we want to learn, we have to go by the hand of technology and new methods. In my case, this was the first project where I used my 3D printer, and the model helped to the process of the final project, which was graded with honours in ETSAM in January 2020.
